The Challenge
Brands did not want standard ad reads. They wanted meaningful integration into G4’s chaotic, comedy driven gaming shows. The challenge was to blend sponsor objectives with entertainment formats that felt native to both live Twitch chat and cable broadcast audiences.
-
Transform RFP asks into interactive live show concepts
-
Protect audience trust while delivering sponsor KPIs
-
Design segments that worked live on Twitch and rebroadcast on TV
The Idea
Instead of inserting ads into shows, we built sponsor driven formats that became part of the programming. Each integration was designed to be interactive, character driven, and chaotic enough to feel at home inside G4’s tone.
-
Turn sponsorships into original game show segments
-
Create recurring branded characters and IP
-
Build live audience participation into sponsor mechanics
The Execution
I conceptualized, pitched, wrote, and directed branded segments across Xplay, Attack of the Show, and other G4 properties. Each format was built to work live on Twitch with chat interaction, then edited for cable broadcast and YouTube VOD.
-
Pitch and secure RFP approvals through creative concept development
-
Write and direct live segments featuring A-list talent
-
Oversee logistics from pre-production through final delivery
The Role
I led creative development for branded segments, acting as the bridge between client goals and show tone. I owned format creation, scripting, live execution, and cross team coordination.
